Have you considered trying to see if the ESCL (Electronic Steering Control Lock) from a Altima will fit on the 350Z column? If this worked it would eliminate the need for the key and still provide the security of the steering column being locked.

That isn't anything we are interested in offering or supporting. Do to liability from safety concerns we are going to leave bypassing the mechanical wheel lock up to the customer / installer. If an electronic lock is installed and it fails and the steering wheel locks up at speed we don't want to be at all liable.
