KpTechnologies Auto Window Up Module (Honda Installation)

Postby rocafelladx » Tue Jun 07, 2005 12:29 pm

Installation of the KPtech Window Up Module on a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe

finally got back online. here are some pictures of the install. i am a messy person so my wires are all over the place. but they are "secured" so no worries. so here are the pictures:

What it includes
Image

Start off by unscrewing the bottom screws (2)depicted in this picture.

Then there are two more screws in the door handle.

Then there is this cover thing near the corner of the door.

This is pretty much instructions on how to remove the door panel. if my pictures/instructions are confusing then i believe there is a member that has posted instructions on door panel removal with better pictures. the next step. just start prying off the door panel. start near the bottom left hand corner. near the light. and start pulling it out and work towards the right hand side. once the bottom has be pryed off. then simply grab the door handle. the rubber part. and just lift it up. the kptech instructions are better than what i am telling you.

Connecting the wires.

THIS IS THE HARDEST PART and requires your full attention. basically all the wires except one from the kptech module goes to the module that connects the door to the rest of the car. i just spliced the wires and connected it like that. i recomend taking off the hardness and soldering into the harness or something instead of what i did.

one of the wire (green) goes directly to the window module of the car

This is the wire that goes to the window module.

before you put everything back together. make sure you test the module over and over again.

And that pretty much concludes the installation.

Any install instructions for a sedan? I believe the wiring are all the same but the door panel removal is different. I guess it'll be pretty easy to figure out if no sedan instructions are available.

tony

you should see if you can find service manuals for the accords on the accourd sites. they can tell you how to do the removal and all that stuff. also it would be very helpful to me and kevin if you were able to come up with these service manuals.

i would recommend tappin the wire a little farther down the wire then right at the harness.

Using the limited amount of spanish I learned in high school, I believe Kevin said he didn't send it back because he speaks a little bit of Spanish. It's either that or he's telling us his pet hedgehog's name is Buddy.

Awww..... arn't they cute? Cinnamon and Tinkerbelle, my two pet skunks.

And yes, I said I speak a little spanish, which is about the extent of what I know anymore. With schematics it really doesn't matter what language they are in, its just finding the applicable one thats hard!
