The modules are for sale through our site ( http://www.kptechnologies.com ) for $44.99 plus shipping.

We are currently running a promotion featuring this module on http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com. More information can be found there, under the group buy section, or under the group buy section on this forum.

Different wiring in what regard? Is it the instructions that are nolonger compatible, or the module itself? I think the switch is the same, so the controlling wires should be similar or the same, yes?

The coupe uses a (+) based switching system while the sedan uses a (-) based switching system. The sunroof controllers are actually wired backwards from a polarity standpoint between the coupe and the sedan.

Our modules do not currently have the ability to output a 12vdc signal, thus making them incompatible at a hardware level with the coupes.

The switch may or may not be identical, I personally don't know. But, from the diagrams provided in the service manual the signals that go through the switch are different.

You must have some sort of rapid notification system. Before I could even do my own research you've got a reply. Anyhow, I'm deeply saddened by this, and also curious as to how this might be beneficial from a manufacturers standpoint. Regardless of that, is there any market for the module for the coupe, or am I stuck holding the button?

We have instant Email notification for any post - new or in an existing thread!

It's very strange to me that this isn't just a Honda problem. Infiniti did the EXACT same thing on the G35 coupe and sedan. Our module works with the coupe, but not the sedan. Nissan is based on using same parts on multiple platforms and they pull this stuff! Seriously, how different can a sunroof be from a coupe to a sedan?

Anyway, we actually tried to convert the (+) switch of the sedan to a (-) based switch and it didn't work, do to some design limitations of our hardware.

It is possible to make a module to work with the coupe, but there has been little to no interest in such a module.

Well I'm interested, and so long as prices aren't ridiculous; I can front the cost of the custom module...

Let me know!

Will this controller work in a 04 MDX? I was looking at the install pics and the wire harness looks similar, but not the wire colors. I know most of the systems in the MDX use (-) based switches and pulses. You think a trial and error session on my part to find out the wire combos, would work!?

Left Front wires are blue (up) and brown (down) at the drivers window switch.

Right front wires are lt. blue (up) and tan (down) in the drivers kick.

Sorry to be such a nuissance, but how much interest would it require to make a compatable module for the coupes? I can probably get at least 10 coupe owners interested in a number of forums. PM me if necessary.

It would require a custom circuit board, so we would be looking for a quantity of at least 50 modules.
