General Vehicle Specific Wiring Information

Postby KPierson » Sun Oct 19, 2008 8:53 am

KPtechnologies does not typically provide vehicle specific wiring information. This is because of the extreme amount of vehicles that our products are compatible with. We recomend using vehicle specific factory service manuals to obtain the information needed to find wires. There are also numerous sites on the internet that can help with wiring information (like http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/vehicles.html).

If you can't find wiring information you can posts your request in this forum and we'll do our best to find it and post it.

Hi, i just bought a passport 9500ix and a directwire kit. i was wondering if you knew a good 12v switched power source that's easy to get to that i can tap. any information you can provide would be much appreciated!

also i actually just moved to dayton and was wondering if you had any recommendations for shops that could install springs? probably not gonna do it any time soon because of the winter, but i'm open to shop suggestions! thanks!

oh and FYI i own a 2005 G35 Sedan...6MT of course =)

I believe a lot of people hardwire radar dectors to the mirror.

There are a few really good shops around Dayton - Quick Rev did the work to my car and I highly recomend them.

thanks for the reply! after some extensive research i found a red/black wire in the fuse box that i'm pretty sure goes to the cigarette lighter so i tapped that and it's been working for me!

i'll keep quick rev in mind...like i said i'm probably not gonna have it done anytime soon what with the crazy weather and everything, but come spring time, i'll probably give them a call.

thanks again and if you ever need a 2005 g35 6mt sedan to test stuff on, let me know
